About
I travel a lot. Sometimes I write about it. When I’m not at home in Connecticut, where do I go? Well, you might find me sipping light-bodied Chasselas with Swiss vintners in Unesco-listed vineyards, tucking into spicy ema datsi with a film crew in a remote valley of Bhutan, making headlines for being stranded in Newark—or even scouring the city for the best croissant in New York. I write for - and have been featured in - esteemed publications like The New York Times, TIME, BBC Travel, Lonely Planet, USA Today, AFAR, Time Out, Travelzoo, National Geographic, Travel + Leisure, and Explore Parts Unknown, amongst others. During the pandemic, I cofounded Quantum Crumbs, a niche food map publisher and Instagram guide to NYC’s best pastries and street foods. Currently, I serve as the English editor of The Bukharian Times.
Places dear to my heart are Bhutan, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Switzerland, Italy, Scotland, NYC, and Maine – where I’ve lived or traveled extensively. I also speak six languages.
